FITNESS

Fitness is synonymous with " get in shape " . The literal translation of the Spanish word " Fitness" is " fitness " , ie the ability of a person to do a particular activity. Applied to this context, Fitness would be the ability to perform physical activity aimed at greater health and improved fitness through exercise. The fitness includes 7 different aspects : exercises to flexibility, muscular strength and endurance , agility , speed, balance , physical constitution and cardiovascular endurance. As I mentioned earlier , all facets of fitness are intended to improve health.

 

Therefore, this concept is also , in addition to physical activity or exercise , proper nutrition , adequate diets, and about adequate rest periods for each person and activity includes.

 

As important as the question What is the fitness ?, is the question What is fitness? Fitness is not a series of activities or exercises to "catch handle", ie, to increase disproportionately without muscle mass balance of a person, nor exhaustive or doing sport binge uncontrollably. Of course, fitness is not abuse of certain substances (drugs such as erythropoietin, hormones such as steroids, transfusions or any kind of shortcut.

 

To understand what fitness is the key word Health. It has been shown that moderate physical activity improves health regularly increasing life expectancy and decreasing the frequency of cardiovascular disease (heart problems and circulation in the body) and endocrine (diabetes, metabolic syndrome). Thus, any activity or approach to help improve our health can be considered fitness.

 

However, any deviation from that attitude to help reach goals too demanding or too fast (shortcuts), we move away from health and therefore fitness well understood.
